Police appeal after church collection box stolen

Police in Cardiff have released CCTV footage in connection with the theft of a church collection box from a primary school.

The box was stolen from the hall of St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School in Cardiff Bay while it was being used as a church hall by The Bay Church.

The theft took place on Sunday, January 19, at around 12.30pm.

The suspect is male and may have escaped on a bike he left outside the school on Letton Road.

The Bay Church meets every Sunday in St Cuthbert’s School and has a stall in Splott Market on Saturday mornings.

Ian Parry, minister at The Bay Church, said: “The box would have contained a very small amount as it was emptied every week.”
