Police appeal as well-known Gabalfa woman goes missing

SOUTH Wales Police are appealing for information after a Gabalfa woman went missing on Sunday evening.

Lorraine Ridout, 57, is a familiar person in the Gabalfa area and was last seen leaving her home around 7pm on Sunday.

A South Wales Police press release said: “Lorraine is well-known in the local community and officers are carrying out extensive enquiries to find her safe and well.”

Within the first hour of posting an appeal on the South Wales Police Cardiff Facebook page the story has received over 200 shares with lots of heart-felt comments from people who know her.

Anyone who knows of her whereabouts is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting occurrence number 1600036372.
