Two men charged over Cardiff taxi crimes

TWO men will appear in court this month after attempted robberies on Cardiff taxi drivers.

Wesely Howard Jones, 38, from Llanishen, was charged with robbery in Grangetown on January 12. He will appear at Cardiff Crown Court at the end of the month.

In a separate incident Daniel Elliott, 27, will appear at Cardiff magistrates court on March 15 having been charged with attempted robbery on Valentine’s Day. Elliot, who is from Pentrebane, has also been charged with possession of cocaine.

South Wales Police said: “Taxi drivers have a challenging job at times and South Wales Police appreciates the work they do transporting people across the city.”
