Tickets for Anthony Joshua’s Cardiff bout go on sale

Joshua throws a punch at Kitschko duiring their heavyweight bout last April

TICKETS went on sale today at noon for Anthony Joshua’s fight against the WBO heavyweight champion, Joseph Parker.

Punters can pick up a ticket for the world title fight from Stubhub UK and ticket brackets for the fight are £40, £60, £80, £100, £150, £200, £300, £600 and £2,000.

AJ will hope to maintain his unbeaten record as well as add another belt to his already large collection during his second fight in Cardiff in nine months.

His last fight in Wales ended in a controversial 10th round stoppage as Joshua beat Carlos Takam at the Motorpoint Arena.

Joseph Parker should prove a sterner test for the Brit. The New Zealander is also unbeaten and won a brutal 12-round battle, on points, against Hughie Fury at the Manchester Arena.

It was not long ago that boxing experts were suggesting that Joshua vs Parker would be the big heavyweight rivalry of this generation.

But, as Joshua has gone on to win big fights against Wladimir Klitschko and Dillian Whyte, Parker’s development has been much slower, as he scrapped past Andy Ruiz on a split decision to win his first world belt.

Joshua will be keen to get a win under his belt with minimal damage, as he hopes to fight another two times this year. The final fight is predicted to be against Deontay Wilder who has the fifth heavyweight belt.

Joshua has still not got to the end of full fight, winning all of his fight by knockout and questions are still being asked about his ability to fight into those later rounds.
