Bluebirds take on Derby in chase for automatic promotion

CARDIFF City travel to Pride Park on Sunday afternoon hoping to improve their chances of automatic promotion.

The Bluebirds sit three points behind leaders Wolves and are ahead of nearest chasers Aston Villa by seven points.

Derby are fifth in the table, 14 points behind the Bluebirds.

Cardiff showed their mettle in a 3-1 win away to Brentford. They went a goal down early on but goals from Sol Bamba, Callum Paterson and Kenneth Zohore ensured they came away with three points.

“I’m not confident of anything in the Championship. But let’s enjoy it, all the pressure is on the big clubs. There is no pressure on me,” said manager Neil Warnock after the game.

The 69-year-old is within touching distance of an eighth promotion and will hope his side can keep the pressure on Wolves.
