Cardiff bus will increase certain ticket prices from Sunday
This week’s increase in fares on day-to-go and single tickets will be the first price changes made by Cardiff Bus in over two years.
Asking members of the public, alt.cardiff found that most bus users were undeterred by the increase, “I don’t think it’s too expensive. I just use them as and when” said Stephen Robbins as he waited at the bus station. Another passenger, Sue, described the jump in price as “Ridiculous. I suppose when petrol goes up, prices have to go up to compensate.”
A press release from Cardiff Bus states that the increases have been kept to a minimum and are due to unavoidable rising costs.
No price changes will be made to weekly or season tickets at present.
