Hoffi Coffi which means ‘like coffee’ in Welsh is a new coffee shop which opened on Monday on Corbett road, Cathays, Cardiff.
The coffee shop seeks to produce quality coffee rather than quickly made coffee, which could compromise on quality.
Hoffi Coffi owner, Shaz Haris wanted to create a coffee shop which gives customers a unique experience.
Hoffi Coffi make garnished hot drinks, for example mint leaves on a mint hot chocolate, as well as hand-brewed teas for tea lovers.
The decor in Hoffi Coffi is quirky with features such as a fish tank behind the coffee bar and ornate plates on the walls.
Kim Brown, a barista at Hoffi Coffi said: “Hoffi Coffi is vintage with a modern twist.”
Hoffi Coffi in Cathays is the first Hoffi Coffi shop to open. However there are plans to expand the business with coffee shops across the UK.
