World renowned artist Stanley Donwood has brought his exhibition Hollywood Dooom to Cardiff’s Chapter Arts Centre.
Donwood said, “It’s the first time that many of these prints have been seen in the UK. Hollywood Dooom consists of a giant ten metre long vinyl mural and a large selection of the work displayed in the Lost Angeles show in Los Angeles.”
Hollywood Dooom depicts the famous LA landscape being engulfed by fire, flood and meteor storm with the iconic Hollywood sign moments away from being submerged by the rising tides.
Canton resident Geraint O’Sullivan commented, “I’ve been a fan of Donwood’s work for years. I’ve really been looking forward to seeing his art in my hometown.”
In this video by Current TV, Stanley Donwood explains how he creates art for Radiohead and Thom Yorke’s solo album, The Eraser.
