Ania’s imports goods every Monday morning from Poland, Romania, Latvia, Hungary and other European countries. If stopping by on a whim, try one of the bakery doughnuts, or pick up a bag of iced gingerbread.
You can find them located next to the Polish Grill Bar, which also serves classic European dishes, on 144 Clifton Street.
Celebrating a two-year anniversary in its new venue, Ania’s Delicatessen and Bakery is now one of the most popular wholesalers of European Foods in Cardiff.
An untapped gem on Clifton Street, this Polish deli stocks a range of imported meats, cheeses, foods and craft beers – and is one of the most frequented spots for Cardiff’s European community. Ania’s shop floor is attached to a built-in bakery where coffee and traditional Polish snacks and cakes are available for purchase.
“Most of the food comes directly from the countries where it is manufactured,” said owner Lukasz Ptak. “We stock foods imported from almost every new member of the European union- we are the only place in Cardiff with such a wide selection of products.”
