The choir currently has 35 members and meets to rehearse every Wednesday between 7:30-9:30 pm at the Whitchurch Sports & Social Club, Velindre Road, Whitchurch, Cardiff CF14 2TG. The choir welcomes members of all abilities, and the ability to read music is not necessary as all songs are taught from scratch.

One of the oldest choirs in Cardiff will commemorate the centenary of the First World War at their annual gala concert.
The Cardiff Male Choir was founded in 1898. The group was affected by both World Wars, with many of their choristers killed during the hostilities. At this year’s gala concert the choir will be remembering the outbreak of WW1 with a medley of wartime songs.
Asides from the upcoming concert, the choir has had a busy year, and shows no sign of slowing with age. “We recently sang at a football parade in Cardiff Bay, and were filmed for S4C’s ‘Heno’ programme this year,” said Emma Laidlaw-Height, Musical Director for the choir. “We also sang at a wedding where an owl delivered the rings.”
