Event schedule:
The gates to Coopers Field will open at 4.30 pm on 5 November 2011.
There will be an individual children’s fireworks display at 5.45 pm.
The bonfire will be lit at 6.15 pm, followed by the main fireworks at 7 pm (approximately 30 mins).
Prices:
Advance booking will reduce ticket prices up to 40 %. Tickets can be purchased at the Cardiff Round Table’s website or at the ticketline.
Cardiff City Council has capped the field capacity at 15,000, so the Round table is encouraging people to buy in advance (at discount) to ensure their place.
Security:
The Round Table has been working closely with Cardiff Council throughout to minimise the impact of the event, says Nick Morris. The area is surrounded by trees, which will reduce some of the noise impact. The UK Civil Aviation Authority and air traffic control service have been notified of the location and time of the display to ensure the air traffic avoids the area. The fireworks company, Pendragon Fireworks, also has a separate system to manage the shells that go to aircraft height.
Book discount tickets now for charity fireworks
The Cardiff Round Table will again be hosting the Sparks in the Park fireworks display on Coopers Field behind Cardiff Castle on 5 November.
Entry to the event will enable visitors to enjoy a variety of fairground rides, food and drink stalls, a hog roast, bonfire and a special children’s fireworks display.
Ticket sales may be solid, but advance booking offers reasonable discount, and it is all for a good cause since all of the event’s profits will be donated to local and national charities. In the past, the Round Table for example helped communities or individuals with special needs.
“The important thing for us is not just raising money but getting involved in the community,” asserts Nick Morris, media officer at the Round Table.
