– Where better to try a salsa class than in a Spanish restaurant? La Tasca offers classes on several days of the week. More information can be found here.
– If Latin and Ballroom is more your thing, Saturn Dance offers professional classes for complete beginners as well as more advanced classes starting in the new year.
– If you fancy something a bit different that won’t be found on the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor, why not try pole dancing? Pole Twisters are the largest pole dancing studio in South Wales and offer a range of courses, taster sessions and one-on-one classes.

A new senior dance squad is helping people get fit
A new dance squad for over 17’s is being put together by 2 Step Dance Academy in conjunction with a government scheme to help people keep fit.
Sport Cardiff are running a new 5X60 scheme which encourages people to exercise for 60 minutes 5 times a week. The high demand for dance from this scheme has led to the creation of a new squad.
Director of 2 Step, Maria Katzi, said, “This academy will be used to inspire young people of Cardiff and South Wales to take part in dance sessions through the Sport Cardiff 5×60 scheme and then into community dance clubs.”
Auditions were last weekend, but sweep up sessions for those who missed the auditions will be held over the next few weeks.
