The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama is a hive of young, fresh musical talent. Now, it plays host to a jazzy soundtrack.
Every Friday is ‘Jazz Time‘, where young jazz students perform their interpretation of the jazz form.
The dawn of a new jazz music scene at RWCMD
Paula Gardiner, a lecturer, said: “When we opened the new building, there was a desire to open a jazz club. Instead of sitting in traffic on a Friday evening, people can come and enjoy some music.
“It’s built up a great following now, with a mix of an established Cardiff Jazz fans and new audiences.
“It’s fantastic that we can bring jazz music to people of all ages, and it’s free!”
