Amateur dance troupes from all over the city will get a chance to show off their skills in a special performance on November 12.
Hosted by The Gate Arts and Community Centre, The Journeys Dance Platform event will bring together amateur performance groups and classes from all ages and styles of dance.
Among the groups performing are Al Rakas, Fusion Dance, The Cardiff University dance society’s Broadway and Expression and many other adult and youth classes from around Cardiff.
Contemporary dance performance
Apart from raising awareness about different existing dance classes and groups, organiser Eleanor Brown says, “I hope the experience raises the dancers’ confidence.”
The opportunity to perform can be a real boost for the enthusiastic dancers. “The audience is so warm and welcoming and really celebrates each performance,” explains Eleanor.
