The official supporters club for Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey Team, the Red Army will be collecting donations for the Cardiff, Newport and Bridgend Food Banks at their home games between 10th-24th November.

The Trussell Trust’s Food Bank scheme was launched in Cardiff in 2009 to support families in financial difficulty and unable to afford basic living costs.

“One of our fans asked if we could explore the idea of supporting local food banks, with the help of our fan base, similar to what has recently been done at Sheffield ice hockey club,” says club secretary, Katrina Williams.

Cardiff Devils Red Army are a “massive assistance to the Devils”, according to the team and organize much of their fundraising for the Devils Community Foundation (registered charity) as well as off-ice activities.
