Charity runs gift-wrapping service

Cancer Research Wales looking for Christmas present wrapping volunteers

For the third consecutive year, Cancer Research Wales is setting up it’s popular Christmas wrapping service in the Queens Arcade from the 18 to 24 December.

Last year the Christmas wrapping service raised £2000 for the charity

The charity is looking for volunteers to lend a helping hand in running the service, which professionally wraps Christmas shopper’s gifts in return for a small donation. All money raised will go toward furthering cancer research.

The charity is hoping to beat last year’s £2000 total. This year local Welsh choirs and bands will be accompanying volunteers including Cardiff’s Robyn Fuller Choir.

Cancer Research Fundraiser, Wendy Collie explains why people should volunteer, “It’s the feel good factor of knowing that you can give a little bit back, not only are you helping the charity but your also helping out someone else.”
