The upcoming commuter class is a contemporary ballet based class, conducted by the dancers of Matthew Bourne’s Nutcracker! show. The company, New Adventures, is currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of the work with a national tour.
This version of Nutcracker! is a modern restaging of the classical ballet work with the original music by Tchaikovsky. The performances of Nutcracker! are from the 15 November- 19 November, including a matinee show on Saturday 19 November.
Classes are run in the early morning or evening after work in the Glanfa space of the centre. This casual setting allows for a relaxed atmosphere suitable for all abilities. For booking information on commuter classes and further information, visit Wales Millennium Centre.

Expore new skills at the Wales Millennium Centre
The Wales Millennium Centre is offering Cardiff commuters the opportunity to learn new performing arts skills. The free classes provide a chance to add a burst of creativity to a busy day, without the added pressure of joining a regular class.
According to Hannah Wyn Jones, marketing officer at the WMC, the classes vary in popularity according to the art form and company, but are generally very popular. With the activities varying from Welsh National Opera singing sessions to ballet classes with English National Ballet, there is something for everyone to explore in a relaxed atmosphere.
As Hannah explains, “Our commuter classes offer you the chance to try out different skills in the relaxed setting of the Glanfa on your way to or from work.”
