Sport Cardiff has launched a new campaign to increase the number of women taking regular physical exercise.
Campaign Girls Together plans to organise women only sport sessions to tackle the gender divide in physical activity in Wales.
Sessions will include activities for any level and age group, ranging from traditional sports such as netball, football and rugby to alternative fitness activities such as glow in the dark circuits and social running groups.
Campaign co-ordinator Fay Benningwood says, “The aim is that the women and girls of Cardiff get together to increase their physical activity uptake in a friendly environment with like-minded people.”
The precise timetable will be released on Sports Cardiff’s website over the coming months.
