Rhys Jones is a Cardiff Photographer and the organiser of Acoustic Music and Poetry in the Norwegian Church on 25 October.
Fanny Holm is coming over from Sweden to perform at the Acoustic Music and Poetry night in the Norwegian Church. What can we expect from her performance?
“Fanny is a Swedish singer/songwriter from Stockholm and will be making a welcome return to Cardiff, performing some exclusive songs from her new album, Freaks, Oddities and Wonders. Her music style is inspired by Americana and roots music, with a touch of Swedish melancholy, which will fit in perfectly with the theme of poetry and storytelling on the night. You can hear some of her new songs on reverbnation.com.”
You held the Acoustic Music and Poetry night last year at the Norwegian Church. What are your reasons for bringing it back for the second year?
The acoustic music and poetry last year was very popular. I wanted to bring the event back for the people of Cardiff who are interested in really great music and poetry so that they can enjoy the experience for the second time, and so that hopefully more people can discover and enjoy acoustic music and poetry.

The evening of acoustic music and spoken word performed by artists from Wales and Sweden will be organised by Cardiff Photographer Rhys Jones and will feature music from Swedish singer and songwriter Fanny Holm, who recently supported English rock band The Zombies at the Globe.
The night will also feature poetry from Cardiff based poet Sheila Hart and storyteller Amanda Rockshaw from Kent.
Organiser Rhys Jones said, “We are happy to be invited back to the Norwegian Church for the second year in a row. We have some great artists performing from a mix of genres so the atmosphere will be brilliant.”
