Cardiff is set to host its first annual Cabaret and Burlesque festival this month.
The International Welsh Cabaret Festival will be taking place at the Sherman Theatre on Friday 13 November at 5pm and Saturday 14 November from 12 noon till late.
The festival will showcase some of the finest Cabaret and Burlesque acts from all over Europe.
The two-day event will comprise workshops and a new talent show, the Cwtch awards, on the Friday night, with the winner performing with the leading acts at the Gala show on Saturday.
Festival director Stephanie Gawne said, “We’re trying to build it into an alternative fringe festival, a kind of flagship event that gives back to the community.
“We’re trying to bring it back into the vaudevillian,” she added.
