Maddie Jones has currently released four EP’s- Colour Me In, Vita Brevis, Let It Out and Mr Walrus. Let It Out (2010) and Mr Walrus (2013) are alternative, acoustic albums with indie flair, whereas Vita Brevis, the 11 track EP released in 2014, is acoustic and reflective throughout.
Maddie sees Colour Me In as a ‘rock’ album, progressively getting heavier until ‘Push Back’, the song Maddie aims to release as her next single. ‘Could You Be My Rock and Roll’ is the first track on the EP and the single that Maddie co-wrote and released with Matthew Evans from the Welsh band, KEYS.
The event starts at 7pm at Gwdihw, a familiar location for the singer who has performed in the café bar since it opened. Tickets cost £5 and can be bought on the door at Gwdihw (includes copy of EP).

Cardiff singer-song writer Maddie Jones is a self-made artist whose advice for budding musicians is “not to be afraid to do things yourself”.
Maddie’s crowdfunded EP Colour Me In was released on 23 October and is inspired by the artist’s musical influences: Led Zeppelin, T.Rex and Radiohead.
The three track EP will be launched in Cardiff’s Gwdihw café bar on 29 October in an event that will embrace individuality and creativity in the Welsh capital.
The launch will begin with an open mic session to encourage participation from Maddie Jones’ friends, many who are musicians too. Maddie also wants fans to contribute by personalising Colour Me In’s hand drawn artwork to “imprint their own interpretation on the cd”.
