Do go gentle into that good night with Gareth Bonello, the Welsh folk-singing, melody-weaving musician. The Gentle Good is his work and captivates listeners with haunting melodies and dark tales of love and loss.
Bonello is influenced by traditional music, folk tales and poetry from all over the world. Singing in both English and Welsh, his one-man band is a literal translation of his name (Gareth means ‘gentle’ and Bonello ‘good’).
“Song-writing’s an organic process,” says Bonello. “My songs often start with me messing around on the piano or guitar. Then I read around different topics, drawing inspiration from others.”
The Gentle Good will be touring various Welsh venues between 18 October and 2 November. So gear yourself up for some nights of gentle goodness near you.
