Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama performs The Snowman
While The Snowman has long been a staple of the Christmas television schedule, audiences now have the opportunity to experience it with live musical accompaniment thanks to the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD).
The 36-strong RWCMD concert orchestra will perform across three afternoons in December, accompanying the classic animated film as it is shown on the big screen in the newly built Dora Stoutzker Hall.
The performance forms part of the RWCMD’s winter programme of events, which also includes other traditional Christmas musical productions Make We Merry – a Baroque Christmas and Carols and Fanfares!
Andrew Miller, head of creative programming at RWCMD, says, “Hearing the live soundtrack in the acoustics of our new hall will be a pretty exciting experience for audiences.”
