Railroad Bill: The Band
Railroad Bill is made up of Chris Walker on the Tea Chest, Dan Nichols on the Washboard, Andy Baillie on Mandolin and Ukulele and John Liepins and Geoff Haynes both on Guitar. The band has been playing skiffle music together for 25 years and has performed in venues across Europe.
Chris Walker, Tea Chest player, said: “Railroad Bill have been playing together since before most of the audience were born, and the music we play is even older. What always blows us away at Itchy Feet events is the reaction of the audience – everyone is just there having a wild time, dancing to music their grandparents might have danced to. It’s not about the latest fashion in music – it’s just about good times. Itchy Feet is unique – no one else does this sort of thing on this scale.”
Itchy Feet Events
Itchy Feet started a vintage dance night in Leeds in 2004. Two years later the team expanded their “ultimate alternative party” and now operate in 25 towns across the UK with events happening roughly five times a year.

Port swilling, party hats and vintage jumpers meet the 50s tunes of Cardiff’s own skiffle band as Itchy Feet hits the city for Christmas.
Itchy Feet Events have teamed up with the “ridiculously cool” skiffle band, Railroad Bill, for this year’s Christmas special in Cardiff.
The 50s themed night, also featuring DJ’s Aldo Vanucci, Gareth Potter and Tenoshi, will take place on Monday 9 December at Clwb Ifor Bach from 10.30pm to 3am.
Laura Fairfax, Itchy Feet’s events manager, said: “Itchy feet is refreshing, breaks the norm and is all the tunes you love to hear but would not think of playing yourself.
“This is the first time we’re bringing live music to Itchy Feet in Cardiff and I’m really hoping people are going to love it!”
