To the rest of Britain it seems Cardiff has a reputation as a mecca for clubbing, excessive drinking and fast food.
Recently Cardiff made the national papers in infamous photographs by Polish photographer Maciej Dakowicz’ published in the Mail and the Sun. These pictures show streets strewn with mountains of fast food wrappers, and young people, in various states of undress, engaging in drunken activities.
In addition to several large clubs, bars and the notorious chippy lane, Cardiff is home to an array of food and entertainment establishments including theaters, cinemas and restaurants.
For an insider’s view, alt.cardiff took to the streets and asked people living or working in Cardiff whether they would visit the city at night, and what a typical night out would consist of for them.
