The Thompson family are in the final stages of opening their restaurant, The Caribbean Way. The restaurant promises mouth-watering traditional Jamaican cuisine that will spice up the imminent wintry evenings. From jerk chicken to an array of fish dishes, there is something to satisfy all tastes. A lounge bar will also serve a range of classic and exotic cocktails until 2am on the weekends.
Charlotte Thompson stressed the importance of keeping business in the family; Charlotte and her father will manage the restaurant together. “The menu was created by myself and my father,” she said. “My father has brought us up on traditional Caribbean food. I’ve learnt everything from him which makes the food taste delicious; he uses home spices he created himself, making the food that little bit special and different.”
