The Vegetarian Food Studio has drawn with Cathays-based fine-dining Indian restaurant Mowgli’s to be named best restaurant in the South East Wales area in the first Asian Food Awards.
The Penarth Road restaurant is well-known in Cardiff for offering an entirely vegetarian menu, with dishes of South Indian, Chinese and Gujarati origin.
Long admired for its traditional homemade breads, chutneys and sweets, as well as its affordable and varied menu, Vegetarian Food Studio has received a number of nationwide awards.
Renn Patal, mother of owner Neil, said “We are very happy. Vegetarian food is part of our culture, and we are delighted that the restaurant is so popular in Cardiff.”
