Green City Events has hatched a plan to help you raise your own urban chickens. On November 1st Green City Events and Free Range Learning launch their ‘Urban Chicken Keeping’ workshop in Cardiff.
This eco friendly workshop will teach you everything you need to know so you can transform even the smallest city garden into a heavenly hen haven. This hands-on workshop will cover everything from how to choose which chicken breed is right for you to setting up the perfect hen house. On the day there will even be friendly live hens for you to practice your new found handling and husbandry skills.
Green City Events is a not for profit social enterprise, which aims to empower people with skills for more sustainable living. Rebecca Clark, who owns and runs Green City said, “ We’re a community engagement project that helps people of all ages understand and implement simple ways of living a little more sustainably. The main aim is to inspire and engage people through fun, hands-on activities.”
