Sometimes big achievements require small, simple actions – like writing a Christmas greeting. And this is exactly what Amnesty International’s next event plans to do.
Next week Write for Rights asks people to influence global justice by sending greetings to prisoners of conscience all over the world.
The global campaign comes to Cardiff’s Chapter on Monday 23 November, and asks everybody – children, men and women – to send a message to 12 people who suffered human rights abuses.
Amnesty’s Cardiff Chairman Stewart Cane says, “It can be a Christmas greeting if they are Christian, a simple message if they aren’t, or a letter to their government to help them, stop the harassment or change unjust laws.”
Amnesty International provides guidance and information to help participants tailor messages to each case.
Here is how the 2014 campaign fared.
