The Cardiff Palestinian solidarity campaign is encouraging supporters to lobby their local MP to vote in favour of Palestinian independence.
The campaign has existed for approximately two and a half years now but has recently seen a huge increase in support. The number of followers on their Facebook page has increased dramatically and local Cardiff supporters are becoming far more involved in marches and rallies. A spokesman was ambiguous saying, “We’ll have to wait and see the outcome” but went on to detail some of the campaign’s troubles:
“A peaceful march was held in Cardiff at the height of Israel’s attack on Gaza this summer, was attacked by racist violent thugs.”
The debate will take place on October 13th.
