Stop Climate Chaos Cymru prepare to spur political and environmental change by hosting a bike rally on Wales Climate Action day (28 November), encouraging Wales to join in the worldwide movement to tackle climate change.
The bike rally promotes economical modes of transport to tackle climate change in Wales.
The Pedal for the Planet rally comes ahead of UN Climate Change negotiations in Paris (COP 21), that are expected to propose an international agreement to keep global warming below 2 degrees.
The rally, due to take place at the Senedd, also aims to encourage local change. Chris Roberts, Head of External Affairs at Sustrans Cymru, the organisation co-ordinating the ride said, “We chose the Senedd because it is the parliament of Wales and is currently considering an Environment Bill that will set statutory targets on climate change for Wales”.
Wales’ National Assembly will provide a political backdrop for the rally on 28 November.
