Cardiff Gathering, an event taking place this weekend at Coed Hills, offers environmentally minded Cardiff residents the chance to learn skills and form a sustainable living action group.
Organiser Bob Smith has been involved in action on climate change for over twenty years and says that Cardiff Gathering will feature films, talks and workshops on long-forgotten rural skills.
“To solve climate change what is needed are pathways for people to learn skills and knowledge to change their lives”.
The weekend-long event comes at a time of transition for Cardiff as many communities already do their bit with shared gardens and up-cycle schemes.
Beginning at 10am on Friday 12 October, the first Cardiff Gathering is open to anyone with a passion for the environment and community involvement.
