The show will raise funds to support a local charity that provides aid for vulnerable adults. The Wallich charity’s Cardiff Nightshelter provides beds, food and warmth to the homeless of Cardiff but like those it helps, the shelter survives on the charity of others.
Saved from closure last year by the Save the Nightshelter campaign, the shelter and the Wallich charity will this year be receiving funds from a show organised by the man behind that campaign. Gareth Seward has put together a Show for the Shelter which will be held at The Gate in Roath on 21 October. Gareth hopes to eventually produce the event annually: “Hopefully it could evolve and become quite a big event. That would be fantastic.”
