Wales Rally GB 2011 will be extending its audience reach with the launch of an innovative app.
The app for Apple and Android phones will compliment the Wales Rally FM radio station and provide expert commentary, live reports, times, splits and interviews from the different race stages.
A spokesperson for the event said, “While innovating and extending the route for this year’s Wales Rally GB event, we also wanted to ensure that fans in Cardiff were able to stay close to the action.”
Cardiff has been the official host city of Wales Rally GB since 2000 and will be the destination for the close of the rally.
Wales Rally GB’s investment in the new app will present fans at all race stages with an interactive experience.
