To recognise the hard work that many people put into the community, Communites First have been asking residents from Adamsdown, Splott, Tremorfa and Plasnewydd to nominate local heroes.
The award categories are split into Health and Wellbeing, Education and Training, Environment, Active Community, Strengthening Communities and Community Worker.
Although the deadline has passed for nominations, the event on 8 December promises to be full of entertainment and Christmas cheer. It will be a time to acknowledge those who give up their time freely for the benefit of the wider community.
The awards will be presented after entertainment from local bands. Everyone is welcome to attend the event.
“The awards are a chance to commend those who have given back to the community,” said Gemma Hicks from Communities First.
