Wales’ railway network is due to descend into disruption when Arriva Trains Wales (ATW) drivers embark on a 48 hour strike from Thursday 22 October to Friday 23 October.
With engineering works already causing major problems across the line from the Valleys to Cardiff Central, the strike is bound to cause even more problems for the people of Cardiff.
Cathays train station will lie empty when the Arriva Trains Wales drivers strike.
RMT claim to be a progressive and democratic trade union whose main aim is to better their member’s pay.

A member of ATW staff who asked not to be identified said, “I’m not striking to cause a problem for commuters; I’m doing it to get what I deserve.”
