Project Period: February 14 – August 13, 2019
Hosted by the School of Journalism, Media and Culture at Cardiff University, this AHRC funded creative industries partnership development project aims to gather stakeholders in the film industry in both the UK and China and academics together to tackle issues around international film distribution mechanisms. The project will host its first field trip and workshop in Shanghai between 15 – 19 April:
April 15 – 18: Visiting potential industry partners
April 19: A workshop hosted by Professor Yueming Rong and his team at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (project partner)
The project currently has funding to cover two more potential delegates’ international flights, visa application fees and accommodation for 5 nights in Shanghai.
This partnership development project lasts for 6 months and the following workshops will be held in London and Cardiff in June. This is the first stage of a further project’s development.
If you are interested in joining the delegation, please send a short statement of justification and CV to the project’s Principal Investigator: Hiu Man Chan via chanhm1@cardiff.ac.uk by March 29 to apply.
