It’s now February and a Cardiff Christmas tree is still causing confusion.
Last week, CJS reported that a Christmas tree on The Hilton Hotel in the city centre was still up, despite it being the end of January.
Now, a week on, the tree has been taken down, but there’s still a mystery over who did it.
The Hilton confirmed the tree was removed yesterday and according to them, Cardiff Council took the tree down.
However, the council said they didn’t take it down.
It follows last week’s report which saw both the Hilton and Cardiff council deny the tree was their property, with both organisations claiming it was the responsibility of the other.
What can be confirmed is that the tree is no longer above the entrance of the Hilton, but exactly who did this remains to be seen.
