George North looks set to miss England Game

10 February 2017

Winger George North could be ruled out of Wales’ crunch Six Nations game against England tomorrow.

North was named in the starting 15 to face England at the Principality Stadium, but has been struggling with a dead leg this week.

Alex Cuthbert could be given the nod for the big match.

The Dragons are currently first in the Six Nations table with rivals England occupying third.

England are favourites with the bookies to take the points at the Principality tomorrow afternoon – despite scraping past France 19-16 at Twickenham last weekend.

War of words

There’s been a ‘war of words’ between both camps all week.

The latest argument is over whether the roof at the Principality Stadium should be closed for tomorrow’s game.

Wales’ interim head coach, Rob Howley, was hoping to close the roof to enhance the atmosphere.

But England coach Eddie Jones is set to put a dent in those hopes.

Earlier this week Wales scrum-half Rhys Webb said it’s a “massive game” in Cardiff this weekend – but said Wales will “concentrate on ourselves” instead of England.

But coach Jones cannot understand why England “are afraid” of playing in Cardiff – and said the Welsh can throw “as many daffodils as they like” at the English.

The game kicks off at 4:50pm on Saturday.
