It also makes you angry obviously because people are trusting us with their donations to make as much money as possible for our cause &#8211; to save people from cancer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She says the stolen goods would have paid for an hour of counselling.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-partner=\"tweetdeck\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Crime is increasing in Rhiwbina. Latest victim is the Tenovus Cancer Care charity shop which had a hoodie stolen worth \u00a325 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tenovuscancer\">@tenovuscancer<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/QZwE5J94Gj\">pic.twitter.com\/QZwE5J94Gj<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Pommy Harmar (@Pom_pom10) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Pom_pom10\/status\/839145752483999747\">March 7, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async=\"\" src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>In another incident, Gary and Amy Barnfield, who run Neat Heat Heating in Rhiwbina had pipes stolen off the top of their company van on the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>They said: &#8220;They got away with only two pieces of copper piping but the cost of repairing the damage is much greater than the pipes are worth.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>These are the latest\u00a0incidents of thefts in the area after a Partners and Community Together (PACT) meeting in Rhiwbina noted stolen goods from\u00a0garden sheds and garages.<\/p>\n<p>Conservative Councillor Jayne Cowan says it&#8217;s\u00a0a worrying trend. She says:\u00a0&#8220;I think theft is definitely on the rise in Rhiwbina. I&#8217;ve been elected for 18 years and I know that obviously with the birth of\u00a0social media now it&#8217;s a lot more prevalent and people are interacting a lot more but we&#8217;re seeing so many reports.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She added: &#8220;In the scale of things it&#8217;s only minor crime but to people they mean a lot and I think we\u00a0need to\u00a0eradicate it\u00a0as much as possible.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Councillor Cowan says she&#8217;s urging residents to &#8220;report everything to the police&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>South Wales Police have been contacted for comment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A charity shop fundraising for cancer treatment in Rhiwbina is the latest victim in a string of thefts in Rhiwbina.
