{"id":23127,"date":"2019-02-26T17:06:05","date_gmt":"2019-02-26T17:06:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jomec.co.uk\/cjsnews\/?p=23127"},"modified":"2019-02-26T17:06:05","modified_gmt":"2019-02-26T17:06:05","slug":"how-the-six-nations-highlights-cardiffs-recycling-problem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jomec.co.uk\/cjsnews\/how-the-six-nations-highlights-cardiffs-recycling-problem\/","title":{"rendered":"How the Six Nations highlights Cardiff&#8217;s recycling problem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>This is just one of the piles of rubbish left on the streets of Cardiff after the Six Nations.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Despite the fact that some of this could be made of biodegradable material, it&#8217;s all being sent to landfill.<\/p>\n<p>Takeaway containers can&#8217;t be recycled because they&#8217;re either made of polystyrene or covered in food.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/jomec.co.uk\/cjsnews\/vegware-explained-is-it-actually-eco-friendly\/\">Packaging company Vegware<\/a> say their biodegradable packaging is an eco-friendly alternative for restaurants and cafes.\u00a0However, Cardiff Council currently doesn&#8217;t have the facilities to recycle this kind of packaging.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-partner=\"tweetdeck\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The aftermath of yesterday\u2019s win in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Cardiff?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Cardiff<\/a>.
