It’s International Women’s today, and throughout Cardiff there are a host of events to celebrate.<\/p>\n

We’ll be attending the Women’s Strike, and exploring the challenges women in Wales face today.<\/p>\n

4pm-Our reporter Sian Price attended #Balance for Better event organised by UNISON and Velindre University NHS Trust<\/h3>\n

The day long event at Coleg y Cymoedd in Nantgarw was attended by various women’s charities and organisations.<\/p>\n

It included a panel of guest speakers who were challenging the narrative of women in Wales, as well as workshops and stalls with various organisations calling for gender parity in Wales.<\/p>\n

3pm- Our reporter Megan Davies, joins Welsh AM Leanne Wood at Trinity Church Cardiff.<\/h3>\n

She wishes a happy women’s day, to women all around the world.<\/p>\n

The event encouraged female refuges, to raise their voices in the community and to become involved in local politics.<\/p>\n
