He insisted on accompanying me in and I ended up spending four quid on a birthday cake. It’s still sat in my cupboard.”

Sam Lewis, 24, male, Caerphilly: “I went out with with a girl from my halls briefly a few years ago. 18 months after it ended, we started playing words with friends together online, which led to us starting to date again. Now we’ve been together for three and a half years.”
Kate Morgan, 29, female, Cardiff: “I met a guy on Tinder and we met up for a date. All evening, he wouldn’t stop talking about his female best friend. Eventually, I asked if they’d ever dated and he said they had. I suggested that every time he mentioned her name he should buy me a drink. Needless to say, I got very smashed and had a great night.”
Anya Walsh, 24, female, Cardiff: “I found a guy’s Tinder profile with the bio: ‘I give the orders because I’m the boss, I own you and I don’t ask your opinion, I am the strongest and I am always right even when I am wrong. I’m jealous and a liar but I am proud of it and it’s for your good. Nobody dares to say something when I speak and I never cook, that’s a woman’s job! Everything that is said about me is probably true!!! But you can make your own opinion and learn to know me, you could be surprised.’ I swiped left.”
