Don’t worry, you’re not alone. It turns out that all parents make a mistake or two

For the lucky ones among us, watching our own parents made parenting look simple. Raising a tiny human, feeding it and keeping it from wandering blindly into traffic seemed like the easiest thing in the world. Jump forward a few years and suddenly you’re chasing a screaming child around the rubble that used to be your house. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. It turns out that all parents make a mistake or two. To calm your worries, we’ve trawled Reddit for our favourite parenting fails.

Reddit user Kcarp6380 might be occasionally overwhelmed as a parent, but makes up for it with a mean throwing arm and excellent aim.

Fibreoptic_Calico and her husband might be clumsy, but at least they have a remarkably resilient daughter.

User rebelkitty might be dangerously forgetful, but you have to admire their ability to think on their feet here.

We’re happy things worked out well for fawerltkjasdoit, but we still want the film rights to “supermarket worker unexpectedly adopts butter baby.”

Finally, alpacamylunch makes us suddenly very glad that bulky mobile phones are a thing of the past…

To be fair, he apparently isn’t alone…
