Wales fan made viral hit over a 'quiet weekend'

A Welsh rugby fan’s tongue-in-cheek video singing about his “hatred” for English rugby has become an instant internet hit in the build-up to tonight’s crunch match.

Endaf Morgan, who lives in Cardiff but is originally from Tregaron, in mid Wales, says he made it out of boredom and never thought it would take off like it has.

At time of writing the video has gained over 28,000 views

He said: “It was a quiet weekend, as my girlfriend was working in A&E.

“I started messing around on the piano with the tune, then a news story came up on the upcoming rugby match. I thought Wales v. England would make a funny song topic, so I made the video with the help of my younger brother, Cerith, to wind up a couple of my English mates before the weekend.

“I never thought it would go outside my circle to be honest.”

When asked what his English friends thought of the video, he replied: “They are no longer my mates.”

“Nah, just joking,” he laughs. “They have found it funny. Hopefully everyone can see it’s not too serious. I mean, Dylan Hartley seems like a nice guy.”

Asked about his predictions for the game, he is at least optimistic for Wales’s chances.

He predicted: “Wales by five, but only because England have been so unlucky with injuries. I fear the World Cup may be a different prospect altogether though.”
