Is Cardiff a good place to live? Here are some facts to consider

A REPORT which highlights the good and bad points of living in Cardiff says the city is thriving and will become one of the leading capital cities of Europe over the next 30 years.

Cardiff: Liveable City, which was released last week, stretches to 60 pages, but we’ve made this helpful graphic below to help you to see your city more clearly.

Council Leader Phil Bale said: “Cardiff has a thriving and prosperous economy and people in Cardiff are safe and feel safe. The strengths far outweigh the weaknesses.”

Jonathon Porritt, founder of Forum for the Future, which conducted the report said: “People like living in Cardiff, and 70% of young people said they loved their work. So that’s a good starting point.”

But it’s not all good news, as the report also outlines the relatively high level of deprivation and unemployment in the city.
