A teenage cancer charity is holding a fundraising event with a twist at 6.30pm on Saturday February 8 at the Whitchurch Community Centre.

The ‘Pamper Night’ will provide food, drink, beauty treatments and a chocolate fountain. The night is being held to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust unit at the University Hospital of Wales.

The event is being run by Teen Spirit, a voluntary fundraising committee which runs in aid of the unit. Goodie bags will be given out to all who attend and a raffle and tombola offer extra prizes.

There will be stalls offering products from Lush and The Body Shop. People will also be able to buy books, cakes, jewellery and craft items to support the trust.

Organisers Mary Self and Louisa Morgan arranged for a variety of extra pampering services at the event

Anne Huxtable, a member of Teen Spirit, helped organise the event. “The therapists include a reflexologist and masseur who will do taster sessions,” she said.

There will also be nail and hair stylists to make guests feel suitably spoilt. These treatments are not included in the ticket price.

The Teenage Cancer Trust brings young people together to be treated by teenage cancer experts. They have funded, built and currently maintain 27 units across the UK.

They are planning to build a further seven units to provide specialist support nationwide. Tickets are £7.50 and all proceeds raised will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust at the University Hospital of Wales.
