CARDIFF CITY earned more money in TV rights than Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain last year, despite being relegated from the Premier League in 2013/14.

Real Madrid and Barcelona topped the TV rich-list with €140m each. Perhaps surprisingly, Liverpool won the most TV prize money in the Premier League, with Swansea 11th with €89m.

Cardiff City finished rock bottom, yet earned €74.5m. Compare that with the bottom club in France’s Ligue One, Ajaccio who earned just €13.1 in right rights.

The Premier League amassed a combined taking of €1,875,000. Second was Italy’s Serie A which took €846.1m from TV companies.
