How The Oaks Garden Nursery in Cardiff is helping people with learning needs

THE Oaks Garden Nursery on Allensbank Road, Heath, Cardiff, offers essential skills to people with learning needs.

Pupils learn a wide variety of horticultural skills at the social enterprise. They gain work experience and are also encouraged to socialise with customers, as the nursery is open to the public.

The Oaks is one of the many projects that operate as a part of the Vision 21 programme. The scheme offers various types of  vocational training to people in Cardiff with learning needs.

Reporter, Katie Gupwell, visited The Oaks to see the work carried out there.
