Welsh Assembly blackout to promote Earth Hour

The  Welsh Assembly will support this year’s World Wildlife Fund Earth Hour by turning off all of the light’s at the Senedd between 8.30pm and 9.30pm this Saturday (March 28).

The annual event raises awareness of energy use.

Presiding Officer, Dame Rosemary Butler AM said: “We are very proud of our green credentials at the National Assembly and proud that we are supporting the World Wildlife’s Earth Hour again this year

“The Assembly has reduced its carbon footprint by 35% since 2008 and this is fourth year that National Assembly has supported Earth Hour.”
